Oglethorpe Hatchery Lead HY04

Profile

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position requires leadership abilities with a willingness to work and train fellow team members. Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Hatchery, which includes proper set procedures, complete accurate egg inventories, creating set sheets. Take daily cooler inventories, load incubator and keep proper paper work. Lift weights up to 33 pounds 180 times per hour. Able to move objects that weigh up to 150 pounds. Keep work area clean. Work environment is 99.8 degrees with a strong odors including rotten eggs. Willing to work flexible work hours as needed. Responsible for setting machines in a timely manner to keep up with production schedules.
