Description Hancock Farmland Services, Inc. (HFS) \u00a0is a farmland property management business with offices in Turlock, California and Savoy, Illinois. Its subsidiary, Farmland Management Services (FMS) is a direct operator of farms in California and Wisconsin. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Farm Manager in the Midwest Region (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio) managing a number of row crop properties.Responsible for all the day to day operations and budgets for assigned farms. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Locating\/interviewing prospective tenants and negotiating\/servicing leases. Managing row crop properties. Effective handling of personnel, contractors, labor, vendors, equipment, and processors. Assisting with the disposition of designated properties. Assist in sourcing and evaluating new properties for acquisition and gathering due-diligence materials needed for purchase of properties. Formulation\/review of property budgets and capital requests. Review of monthly and quarterly profit and loss statements. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA, EPA, APR, and water coalition agencies. Reports to Midwest Regional Manager of problems\/successes\/overall operations. Ability to travel long distances with a possibility of overnight stay and cross train in other regions. Ability to obtain and\/or maintain required licenses needed for job performance. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 4 year agricultural degree (Farm Management or Agribusiness preferably) Brokerage license (or ability to obtain) for state(s) in which all Properties are assigned. Valid driver\u2019s license. Own or lease vehicle that meets Company specification. Current valid vehicle Insurance that meets Company specification. Desirable if candidate has farmed on their own or has farm background. Desirable if candidate holds Accredited Farm Manager designation through the ASFMRA. Desirable if candidate has 5-10 years of relatable experience. Must be able to communicate well with others and function in a team environment.
