Job Description \u2022Manage contracting and delivery of A-B barley within yearly programs. \u2022Drive SmartBarley program (smartbarley.com) to optimize barley yield and quality for joint benefit to growers and AB InBev. \u2022Develop and implement global and local agricultural management and technology programs. \u2022Interface with AB InBev Barley and Malt Operations at the local, zone and global level. \u2022Execute open market purchasing program. \u2022Monitor and report on barley crop from planting to harvest. \u2022Provide market intelligence and pricing recommendations as well as timely forecasts for financial reporting. \u2022Schedule incoming barley from farm storage for both seed and malt. \u2022Support growers from crop planning to harvest and execute direct grower programs. \u2022Promote grower and local stakeholder relations and communications through farm visits, grower meetings, field day events, etc. \u2022Work with barley research to support field variety and crop management trials. Job Qualifications \u2022Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field required. \u2022Excellent oral and communication skills, and the ability to work directly with barley growers. \u2022Highly self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and be attentive to details. \u2022Ability to relocate within the United States. \u2022Good understanding of crop production and agronomics relating to barley and competing crops. \u2022Knowledge of seed production and seed certification requirements. \u2022Understanding of OSHA requirements pertaining to the grain industry. \u2022Proficient with computers and MS Office applications including PowerPoint.
