Culture at CPS is the core of everything we do and all employees are respectful of diverse opinions and views.Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Demand Planner will be to ensure the continuity of supply of finished goods for all assigned LPI products to Crop Production Services. This person will interact with LPI manufacturing facilities, third party product suppliers, product management, and Customer Service in the management of the day to day supply chain of LPI products.Key Tasks:Review customer\/demand requirements, analyze supply situation and provide demand & supply status to Customer Service and management.Lead the field forecasting process to determine demand for LPI products utilizing approved softwareCommunicate demand to assigned plants and 3rd Party SuppliersPlace purchase orders as required with 3rd Party SuppliersCollaborate with manufacturing facility personnel to develop a Master Production Schedule (MPS)Monitor demand exceptions and take corrective actionKeep up-to-date on issues relating to early order programs and new product introductionsLoad and maintain MPS into Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) for assigned products if requiredServe as primary point of contact for Production Schedulers at LPI PlantsAssist in resolving supply and demand issues between suppliers and LPI Customer ServiceUpdate BPCS (Available to Promise) and\/or order fulfillment on product availabilityLead assigned segment in the monthly S&OP process\/meetingPlan and execute the procurement and delivery of designated materials, packaging, and labels to LPI and\/or toll manufacturing facilitiesDetermine purchasing priorities and economic order quantitiesPopulate and maintain assigned purchasing\/vendor information within BPCSAssist Accounts Payable and Account Receivable in resolving variancesRoutinely interact with IT on system and process improvementsWork to increase inventory turns where possibleOther duties as assignedSkills:Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Agricultural Business, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain, orAssociates degree in related field plus 2 years\u2019 experience in planning, scheduling or purchasing preferably in the agricultural industryQualifications:Positive, sales focused, attitude.Team player that works well with othersHighly motivated, organized, self-starter with strong interpersonal and negotiating skillsExperience using BPCS computer software a plusWorking knowledge of MRP\/ERP conceptsProficiency with spreadsheets, functional databases and enterprise wide software applicationsSolid understanding of supply chain concepts and processesStrong time management skillsCPS, a Nutrien Company, is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
