JOB SUMMARY: The Aftermarket Field Specialist (AFS) is responsible for managing the Aftermarket sales growth & profitability for Lely North America (LNA) within their respective territory, along with the primary field product support and development for the Aftermarket segment of the business.Main TasksPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following areas. Other duties may be assigned.Aftermarket Sales and Business Development:Meet or exceed territory sales goals set by Aftermarket Product Manager.Training and development of key Lely Center (LC) Aftermarket staff.Support LNA at Farm Shows, Industry Conferences and LC events.Participate in the development of the Go to Market strategy for LNA Aftermarket business.Aftermarket Product Support and Development within assigned territory:Provide Level 2 Field Support as required in conjunction with TSS and FMS colleagues to LC employees, stakeholders and customers.Ability to run and understand basic robot reports to help identify the issue for correct course of action and resolutionProvide feedback on issues and areas of improvement of Lely Aftermarket products and services.Assist and coordinate Aftermarket New Product Development & Testing within assigned territory.This position is field based with a travel requirement of 50-60% annually domestic and\/or international. Occasional non-regular work hours for Lely Center\/Customer visits and offsite meetings.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and\/or ability required.EDUCATION and\/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business, Dairy Science, Animal Science or Business Management. Sales orField Support experience of 5 years; and\/or combination of relevant education and experience required.Experience in dairy products for herd health and production is a benefit.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public and communicate effectively with people of other regions and cultures.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Progressed Skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, return on investment, cost savings, etc.COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient computer skills including Internet and experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, Excel and Access.REASONING SKILLS: High level skills with the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Independent action within an established field is required; new procedures and approaches to problems must be originated.OTHER SKILLS\/ABILITIES: Informative and provide professional assistance when working with the public\/customers andco-workers; maintain positive interpersonal relationships and encourage openness with customers and peers; present ideas and concept in small and large group settings; develop and deliver professional presentations; experienced with CRM tools, knowledge of Agricultural equipment, Lely NA Organization and departments; operation of equipment for demonstration purposes walk-around presentations; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills and a team player.
