Essential Functions - Develop new prospects and interacts with existing dealers to increase sales of agricultural inputs in order to meet and exceed sales objectives. Manage sales in order to meet profit margin objectives. - Assure customer satisfaction of products: on time and accurate delivery and quality of product - Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products. - Consult with dealers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues. Resolve issues associated with adverse product results. - Perform initial credit review of customers to determine credit risk. Provide necessary information to Credit Manager in order to determine credit limits. - Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers. - Monitor competitive activity and trends. - Keep records and prepare reports on sales activities as required. - Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features, benefits and use. - Maintain continuing education on marketing techniques, products and services. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Sales Representative - Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in agriculture. - Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry as well as the application of agricultural chemicals. - Relies on significant industry experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Works under limited supervision; typically reports to a division manager.
