Overview/Description: This position will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization, as well as helping to define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices. This position will be involved in virtually all aspects of IT in order to support our entire organization. Major areas include: Windows Server Administration & Network Management Application Support, Integration & Management Help Desk & End User Hardware & Software Support (includes remote locations) General Responsibilities: Effectively implement new systems and technologies that bring the best value to the Businesses in alignment with business strategy, tactics and initiatives. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of numerous IT systems, including servers, PCs, switches, hardware, software, peripherals, manufacturing equipment and telecommunications in a 24/7 production environment. Provide critical on-call support and 24/7 coverage for systems supported by the IT group (weekly team rotation) Proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information processed by the company Work independently or in a team setting with IT group and/or end users to: Carry out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved procedures to increase efficiencies and profitability wherever possible Translate end user business requirements into functional design and technical specifications to deliver the agreed upon functionality Help develop & implement new policies, procedures, and processes to increase efficiency & profitability Provide training to team members in the use of new technology were needed Help define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations, including business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis Conceptualize & communicate IT capabilities to help guide business leaders in the continuous improvement of business processes Champion solutions to address business needs through technology Qualifications/Skills Required: Experienced IT professional skilled in a variety of disciplines and able apply those skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service to those we support. Qualified candidates must by very flexible and enjoy variety in their daily work. Bachelor’s degree in IT with three years of related work experience or five years of related work experience Proven organizational, analytical, problem solving, and project management skills - Must possess a high level of self-motivation with keen attention to detail Very strong customer service oriented mind-set with the ability to work with all levels of employees Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and business communication skills. Candidates must be able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language Willingness and ability to support team members and equipment outside a traditional office setting including those out-of-state (some overnight travel will be required) Ability to learn new technologies with minimal training Technical knowledge with a broad understanding of Microsoft environment (AD/Exchange/SharePoint/SQL) Ability to understand applications from the user perspective and the developer mindset Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment Must be a self-starter and able to oversee multiple small and medium sized projects through to completion with limited oversight Preferred Skills: Familiar with industry-standard tools and best practices (VMware, SAN, Disaster Recovery, mobility, etc.) Prior technical experience with WMS, MRP, and ERP implementations and support Prior experience in agriculture and/or manufacturing Only qualified candidates will be contacted.Candidates are subject to pre-employment background check and drug screen (hair and urine).
