SUMMARY: Reporting to the Sr. Director Global HR & EHS, this role will implement talent initiatives and processes to align with Cobb-Vantress’ strategic business needs. The scope of the position includes talent acquisition and talent development activities.

Essential Duties:

Partnering with business leaders to create workforce planning strategies that lead to a fully staffed and capable organization.

Creating candidate sourcing strategies to increase the number of qualified applicants for open roles.

Optimizing the candidate experience (application, interviews, status updates, offers, etc.) so that Cobb’s employment brand is strong in the communities we serve.

Leading the college intern program, from concept to execution.

Leading the design and deployment of high-quality training programs—to include basic supervisory skills, advanced leadership capabilities, and job-specific skills training—throughout the organization.

Championing Cobb’s employee engagement and retention efforts, to include engagement surveys and the action plans that follow.

Providing insight and driving the company’s efforts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Leading our efforts related to performance reviews, talent reviews, and succession planning across Cobb’s global footprint.

Providing leadership and oversight to a team of three or more talent professionals as they seek to attract, retain, and develop talent.

Serving as a model for company culture, promoting Cobb’s core beliefs, and providing feedback to the leadership team regarding successes and needs for improvement.

Coaching leaders to achieve job-related and career goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

Experience: 5 years of related experience is required. Experience in agriculture or food production is highly preferred.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with advanced learning technologies is preferred.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to hourly team members.

Other Skills: Emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, collaboration, problem solving, project management, ethics and integrity, knowledge of laws and regulations that impact talent management.

Other requirements: Must be able to travel to farm locations and follow all bio-security guidelines, to include showering prior to entry and avoiding all avian species (chicken, ducks, and other birds) when away from work.

Supervisory: Oversight to a team of three or more talent professionals as they seek to attract, retain, and develop talent.

Travel: 6 plus trips per year

Physical Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk to hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities, it is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment.

Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites biosecurity environments showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species chicken ducks and birds . The company Animal Welfare Policy must always be followed.
