This position supports a project entailing the management, inspection, and performance of maintenance, of landscaping and wildflowers on Florida SR 91 either between MP 94 and 185 or SR 91 between MP 230 and 300 with additional sites on SR 570 and WR 417. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Perform inspections, and make assessments and recommendations on hazardous or potentially hazardous trees. Required skills: Be proficient with the fundamentals of limited-visual and basic tree risk assessment, as defined in ISA Best Management Practices: Tree Risk Assessment. Understand the principles of advanced diagnostic techniques for assessing tree risk. Gather and synthesize information needed to assess tree risk. Make reasoned judgments and recommendations for mitigating identified risk. Possess a national certification or certificate in arboriculture. Minimum Education and Experience: A degree in arboriculture, urban forestry, traditional forestry, or horticulture that is part of a national qualifications framework or is from a college or university ISA Certified Arboristu00ae or ISA Board Certified Master Arboristu00ae. ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified. Preferred - A national certification or certificate in arboriculture (see a complete list in the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification Candidate Handbook). Preferred - ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist (RCA) status. Preferred - Licensing or Certification from an approved state/province program (see a complete list in the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification Candidate Handbook).
