The School of Agriculture at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position (#102040) in Agribusiness/Agricultural Economics at the assistant/associate professor rank. The position begins August 1, 2019.
The candidate selected for this position will be expected to secure external funds in order to create a nationally recognized research program. In addition to a demonstrated ability to excel in applied research, the ideal candidate will be able to teach a wide variety of undergraduate Agribusiness courses such as policy, management, marketing, and finance. Strong quantitative skills are a must for success in this position. Public service and student mentoring are further requirements for this position. Duties may also include supervision of undergraduate research projects and advising student organizations. Effective teaching, organizational, and communication skills are essential. The ability to be a productive team player and to interact well with peers, students, constituent groups, and the general public is essential.
The School serves approximately 500 undergraduate students and offers baccalaureate programs in Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, Agribusiness, and Fermentation Science. Agricultural education concentrations are available. The School also offers graduate degrees in Horse Science (MS) and Administration and Supervision (MEd) with a concentration in Agricultural Education Leadership. The School houses a variety of farm laboratories, including Beef, Swine, and Dairy units, and an on-campus creamery.
