The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working with a team in delivering complete electronic control systems and/or components to internal and/or external customers. Complete electronic systems comprise electronic hardware and software solutions including customer specific application software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the creation and maintenance of the related Software and Technical Specifications for assigned products, in accordance with Platform, Safety and Homologation requirements.
Follow project plans and budgets for electronic systems group to support project goals.
Create test validation plans and write test requests to support product validation activities.
Assisting in the creation of design control strategies and algorithms for complex systems (Electro Hydraulic, Driveline, Vehicle).
Support providing Electrical architecture for wiring team to develop and implement.
Support current product electrical and software, including warranty concerns, quality improvements, and cost reductions.
Support troubleshooting of issues as they may occur from electrical and software viewpoints. This includes hands on vehicle work with diagnostic equipment and tools.
Collaborate with Product Platforms, Product Validation, Central Areas (EH, Driveline, Cab, Engine) during all program development phases.
Drive the commonality of technical solutions across platforms.
Participating in Design reviews, DFMEAs, Risk assessments and other technical meetings.
The qualified candidate will have experience with the following:
BS degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering
Ability to travel 10% worldwide as required to meet the demands of assigned programs.
The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:
Previous experience with complete electronic vehicle systems architecture and software
Experience in Agriculture, Construction, on/off highway, defense, or automotive product development
Good knowledge of electronic components and communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
Experience with electrical and software tools such as CANalyzer, service tools, basic electrical tools
Knowledge of wiring harness design and associated components
Willingness to learn and use MS project to develop and manage projects through their life cycle.
Experience with completion of multiple small to large projects from conception to product release.
Desire to work in a strong cross-functional team environment.
Ability to use MS office suite of software (Word, Power Point, Excel).
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
