Proper application of crop protection products and dry fertilizer are required. Experience in semi-tractor driving, self-propelled sprayers and dry fertilizer floaters are a desire. Key Tasks:Responsible for keeping field equipment clean and in safe operating conditionResponsible to apply the correct amount of product to each acre and in a manner consistent with the product labelRequires mixing, loading, and application of pesticides/fertilizersPerforms daily vehicle inspectionsAbility to crosscheck products, rates and timing effectiveness vs. targeted/non targeted pest/cropsKeep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precautionComplete application records as required by the Company and government regulationsOperates computers on equipment and familiar with GPS equipmentHandles and delivers seedPick up and deliver product to customers as neededPerform other duties as assignedSkills:Detail oriented with excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenComputer skillsQualifications:Must meet minimum age requirementHigh school diploma or GEDCDL or ability to obtain within 30 daysAble to lift/carry up to 75 poundsMust pass pre-employment drug screenMust meet DOT and Company requirementsAble to work additional hours to meet business demandsApplicator's licenseChemical application educationPrevious application experienceFarming background CPS, a Nutrien Company, is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
